About Us

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is an international association of women employed in all areas of the construction industry from skilled trades to business ownership. NAWIC was started in 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas by a group of women employed in the construction industry. Since this time, NAWIC has grown to a membership of more than 4,500 with hundreds of chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

History

The San Bernardino/Riverside Chapter of NAWIC, Chapter 111, Region 12, was chartered August 14, 1965 with over 60 members. Life Member, Donnis Meeder is one of the founding members.
